BATHYMETRY SURVEY
PT Geoscan Eksplorasindo has extensive experience in conducting specialized marine and bathymetry surveys. We are adept at mapping the underwater topography of rivers, lakes, and coastal areas to provide crucial data for a wide range of projects, including marine infrastructure development, dredging, and resource mapping.

Our team utilizes a suite of advanced equipment to perform comprehensive surveys:
Echosounder
We use this technology to precisely measure water depth by emitting sound pulses and recording the time it takes for the echo to return from the seabed. This allows us to create accurate bathymetric charts of the seafloor.
Sub-Bottom Profiler (SBP)
This instrument uses low-frequency sound waves to penetrate the seabed and map the layers of sediment beneath it. The data is essential for assessing the stability of the subsurface for pipeline routing, cable
laying, and foundation design.
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
We also employ GPR technology for specific shallow-water applications. This equipment can effectively map the top layers of sediment and detect buried objects or infrastructure in very shallow marine or freshwater environments.
Remote Control Boat
To enhance safety and efficiency, we utilize a Remote Control Boat to carry our survey equipment. This unmanned vessel allows us to conduct surveys in shallow, difficult-to-access, or potentially hazardous areas without putting personnel at risk.
“The following is a bathymetry survey experience that PT Geoscan Eksplorasindo has conducted to map the seabed in detail and accurately.”

Location : South Kalimantan

The purpose of this survey was to accurately calculate the volume of a lake. Since the survey area lacked a boat that could be launched into the lake, we leveraged our specialized remote control boat.
This innovative solution allowed us to perform the survey safely and efficiently, overcoming a significant logistical challenge. The results were excellent and provided the client with precise data for their project.

Location : Batam

This image displays the results of a Sub-Bottom Profiler (SBP) survey we conducted in Batam. The primary objective of this
project was to provide a detailed understanding of the subsurface conditions beneath the seabed.
The data successfully identified and mapped various geological structures and the distinct layers of sediment. This information is
crucial for engineering teams planning marine construction projects, as it helps in assessing the stability of the seabed and identifying potential hazards. The clarity and detail of these results demonstrate our capability to deliver reliable subsurface data in complex offshore environments.
